Beijing Day 2

Today was alot of fun! We have one other couple in our "group" and they are a perfect match for us! They're laid back and have very similar personalities. It's been so easy and fun sight seeing with them. They leave Beijing tonight too but we will meet up again in Guangzho. They'll be staying in the same hotel and our medical exam appointments are the same day too. We are looking forward to seeing them with their little boy, Isaac.

We went to the Temple of Heaven and the park right next to it. Since it was Saturday alot of locals were enjoying the day. We saw dance lessons, people practicing their calligraphy,card games, LINE dancing! haha! Next we were able to visit the Olympic venues. So cool!

We wrapped it up at the Summer Palace. It was a beautiful palace that sits on a lake. It's the best time to visit Beijing so it was packed! After a couple of hours we had seen enough! Another long day of touring but so worth it. We are so wiped out at night we don't even eat dinner. Good thing I packed granola bars...

Tomorrow we will visit the Great Wall and then fly to Hohhot. Monday morning is gotcha day! We will have Ella soon!!
